Insurance Process
In North Carolina, it is the insured policy holder’s right to have their vehicle repaired by the auto body shop of their choice, without repercussions, regardless of their insurance body shop recommendation.
Insurance payment:
Once an estimate has been approved by your insurance company, they will be sending payment. In some cases, the customer will receive the approved amount for repairs. In that case, we ask that if it is made out to the insured solely, please cash or deposit that check as soon as you receive it. The reason for that is that some financial institutions may put a temporary hold on the insurance check., which in return can hold up the delivery of the vehicle until the funds are made available. The next step would be once the vehicle is completed and ready for pickup, you can make the payment by cash, debit card or credit card.
There are also some insurance companies that will do a two-party check to both to the customer and the body shop. In this case, once the vehicle is completed and ready for pickup just bring the signed two- party insurance check and deductible.
You can always choose to have the insurance send the payment directly to the shop for payment. This is the quickest way to ensure payment was received by us so we can release your vehicle to you once all repairs are completed.
